About
meta-analysis.io
meta-analysis.io is a browser-based evidence-synthesis platform built for clinical researchers, systematic reviewers, and physician-scientists. It runs pairwise, network, and diagnostic-test-accuracy meta-analyses end-to-end — from data entry through publication-grade figures, risk-of-bias appraisal, and reproducible R code — without the setup overhead of traditional statistical toolchains.
What the platform does
- Pairwise meta-analysis for binary, continuous, hazard, rate, correlation, and proportion outcomes.
- Network meta-analysis for both intervention comparisons and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnostic test accuracy — univariate pooling plus the Reitsma bivariate random-effects model with SROC curves.
- Sensitivity analyses, subgroup analyses, meta-regression, and trial sequential analysis.
- Publication-bias detection with the full toolkit: Egger, Begg, Peters, Harbord, Rücker, Deeks, trim-and-fill, PET-PEESE, P-curve, Z-curve, and selection models.
- Risk-of-bias appraisal across every standard tool (RoB 2, ROBINS-I/E, QUADAS-2, Newcastle-Ottawa, JBI).
- Exports to DOCX and PDF manuscripts, plus reproducible R code that uses metafor and meta.
Why we built it
Evidence synthesis is too important to be gated by software friction. A systematic reviewer should spend their time on design, data extraction, and interpretation — not on installing R packages, translating between tools, or debugging why a confidence interval in one program doesn't match another.
meta-analysis.io exists to remove that friction. Every estimator matches its canonical published reference; every user-facing toggle actually changes the output; and every analysis is reproducible from a link or a CSV file. The goal is that a careful reviewer can produce submission-ready outputs in an afternoon, not a week.
Parent organization
EVIDENCIA Labs
Phoenix, Arizona
EVIDENCIA Labs builds intelligent software that helps clinical researchers, scientists, and physicians synthesize evidence faster and more accurately.
We focus on the long, fragile parts of the research pipeline: turning scattered primary studies into rigorous, reproducible, peer-reviewable outputs. meta-analysis.io is our flagship product for quantitative evidence synthesis. Additional tools in development target literature screening, data extraction, statistical reporting, and clinical-trial design — each built on the same commitment to correctness, transparency, and fidelity to published statistical methods.
Our core principles:
- Every formula matches its primary published reference, with that reference visible to the user.
- Every automated output is something a peer reviewer could reproduce with standard tools (R, Stata, or by hand).
- Research data is the user's — encrypted at rest, never used for model training, never shared with third parties.
- The platform should be usable by a first-year PhD student without a week of setup.

Chief Executive Officer

Ahmed Negida, MD, PhD
Founder & CEO, EVIDENCIA Labs · Translational & Clinical Research Scientist
Dr. Ahmed Negida is a translational and clinical research scientist with extensive experience in Parkinson's disease, Lewy body dementia, and Alzheimer's disease. His work integrates multimodal brain imaging (structural, functional, and diffusion MRI, and EEG), machine learning, and fluid biomarkers to advance precision medicine for neurodegenerative disease.
He leads multidisciplinary collaborations across academic and industry teams, with a particular focus on translating laboratory findings into clinical and regulatory applications.
Alongside primary research, Dr. Negida has many years of experience in systematic review and meta-analysis methodology, with a substantial body of peer-reviewed publications in both clinical and methodological journals. He has provided evidence-synthesis and clinical-trial methodology consulting to major pharmaceutical sponsors and contract research organizations, including Pfizer, Roche, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson.
He is co-founder of the GNS global research collaborative, hosted by the Department of Neurological Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University, and founder of an international research training academy that has supported more than 35,000 trainees across 20+ countries.
Dr. Negida founded EVIDENCIA Labs to bring the rigor he demanded of his own peer-reviewed work to software that other researchers would rely on. meta-analysis.io is the first realization of that goal — built so that any careful reviewer, in any field, can produce publication-grade evidence synthesis without fighting their tools.
